Pain was just something I lived with…

For a long time, pain was just something I lived with. I did not even fully recognise it as pain, it was more a constant tightness and cramping in my hips and legs that had become part of daily life. I had settled into expecting to be in pain all the time.

Over the years, I tried various approaches, including Pilates reformer classes, online exercise programmes, stretching routines, acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Some things helped temporarily, but nothing truly shifted the underlying issue or lasted long term. I had probably spent hundreds of pounds trying to manage it, without ever feeling fully free from it.

What encouraged me to work with Karen was her promise that pain could be shifted and healed from home, without hands-on treatment. The idea that I could be empowered to understand and support my own body really resonated with me. Karen’s calm, grounded presence also gave me immediate confidence that she understood what I was dealing with and knew how to help.

The weekly sessions were incredibly supportive, especially for my particular brain. Having regular check-ins kept me on track, and the video calls meant Karen could really see what I was doing, check my form, and give personalised feedback. It never felt like a one-size-fits-all programme. When something did not work, or I struggled to stay consistent, Karen adapted the approach and helped me find what worked for me. The process felt gentle, gradual, and deeply personalised, yet the shifts were significant without ever feeling hard or forced.

I was genuinely surprised by how quickly I started to see results, and by how easy the process felt. I noticed clear changes in how I held my body, particularly in my hips and back, and I became much more aware of how my daily activities were either contributing to or reducing my pain. That awareness led me to make better decisions about how I use my body and how I structure my life.

Working with Karen has had a lasting impact. I have made intentional changes to move away from physically demanding activities that were causing ongoing pain, even when I enjoyed them, and I feel confident that those were the right choices for my long-term wellbeing. I now have the tools and exercises to support myself if things start to feel out of balance again, and a much healthier relationship with my body overall.

The most powerful part of this work was not just pain relief, but learning to think about and care for my body in a completely different way.

If you are considering this programme and wondering whether it will work for you, I would say this. You do not have to accept pain as an everyday part of life. Karen can help you get to a place where living pain-free feels possible and realistic. It ultimately comes down to whether you want to live differently, and Karen shows you how.
