Karen puts you in charge, giving you the tools to remedy your own pain
I first had back pain more than 20 years ago, when I had a muscle spasm under my shoulder blade after washing the ceiling in preparation for decorating. Having gone to A&E with no relief at all, a friend recommended an osteopath – who did relieve me of pain and discomfort … temporarily. In the intervening 20 years, having been told I have a weakness, I have returned to the osteopath a number of times.
My back pain is not debilitating, but the restriction it brings to the ribs makes it feel like I have a chest infection – and just stops me from enjoying life to the full.
Having met Karen I knew I had to find out more. Initially, this was about being pain-free, and I did think she would do this for me – as did the osteopath – but it’s more … Karen puts you in charge. Life happens and you may well get a twinge here and there. The beauty is you do not have to make an appointment and wait for relief – Karen gives you the tools to remedy your own pain.
Now, on the odd occasion when I wake up stiff and with a twinge, I do my simple and short exercise over my morning coffee to be pain-free and flexible for the rest of the day.
Thank you Karen for these precious gifts.
