Is your body a truly amazing and sensational temple?

“Look after the temple that holds your wonderful soul”.

Margaret Paul PhD, Diet for Divine Connection http://margaretpaul.com/

When the message is put so eloquently, why wouldn’t you look after your body?

After all, the mind is going nowhere without the body!

How many times have you read an article and passed over the information, thinking “I’ll do it tomorrow but….. today I eat cake!”?

We usually have to be receptive to the message and how the message is delivered. That information could be given by word of mouth, visual or written. It may be delivered again and again and again in different formats from a variety of authors until we understand the message and take appropriate action. As Tao Te Ching says, “When the student is ready the teacher will appear. When the student is truly ready… The teacher will Disappear.”

Your body will be talking to you throughout the day. Whether those messages relate to hunger, thirst, stress, movement or rest. But many people don’t listen to the signs their bodies communicate. They ignore really import signals, such as pain. Why?!

“To keep the body in good health is a duty… otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.” – Buddha

Do you listen to your body and accurately interpret the signals?

Can you identify a difference between the body’s need for survival and the desire for something to induce the feel-good neurotransmitter, dopamine?   For more information about dopamine visit Psychology Today
